Former Sunderland boss Gus Poyet has been sacked as Real Betis coach after the club’s recent poor form and has been immediately replaced by former Real Madrid midfielder Victor Sanchez after only signing a two-year deal with Betis in May.

The former Chelsea star has lost four of his last five games that has seen the club drop to 14th on LaLiga log with supporters vowing to boycott games until Poyet’s is relieved of his job.
Sanchez, whose last job was at the helm of Olympiacos, played for Madrid during the 1990s and was an eight-time Spain international.
His first game at the helms will be a LaLiga clash at home to Las Palmas on Friday.
