LIVERPOOL 1-1 Manchester united- Stalemate at Anfield

Jurgen Klopp's side were forced to a 0-0 draw at home, the first time they have failed to find the back of the net this season and coincidentally their first clean sheet. A drab encounter failed to live up to fans' expectations.
Ibrahimovic misses a gilt edged chance-skysports.com
Chances were few and far-fetched in the first half of the match, although Zlatan Ibrahimovic spurned a glorious chance to put his side forward when he uncharacteristically headed a pin point Pogba cross across the face of goal when the goal was gaping failing to test Karius. Firmino was guilty of heading straight at De Gea

De Gea produced two world class saves to keep United in the game- the first, a parry off Emre Can's shot and the second from a Countinho 30-yard curler tipping it around the post, drawing an applause from Klopp on the touchline. Liverpool were the attacking side for most of the game but ultimately failed to turn possession to chances as both teams settled for a draw.

The result takes Liverpool to within two points of league leaders Manchester City, while United are three further back in seventh place.
