HART hoping to move on from Euros gaffes


The Torino shot-stopper - on loan from Manchester City has admitted to wrongdoing on the pitch at the last Euros and insisted that he was left in a bad state after the tournament.

He said to BBC:
"I am gutted about how the summer went, I would have loved to have saved the two shots that I should have saved [during Euro 2016] but they are gone."

"I am going to try and rectify that by being in a good place. Football moves quickly. You have to move on. You have got to keep fighting."

He was at fault for the group stages against Wales as well as the round-of-16 defeat to Iceland.

He had since continued playing for his country and was in top form making series of breathtaking saves against Slovenia that prevented the Three Lions from a shock defeat.
