Henderson made a major contribution towards both goals in a match where Rooney was booed by English fans. Liverpool striker, Daniel Sturridge directed a fine header off a pin point Henderson delivery to give the Three Lions a reprieve after been kept at bay by the Visitors for a while.Dele Alli doubled the lead later on after his initial effort was saved by the goalkeeper, he tapped home the rebound reacting quickest. All of Alli, Lingard and Walcott had chances to upgrade the scoreline but failed.

Germany 3-0 Czech Republic
Low's men were victorious over a toothless Czech side. Thomas Muller scored twice as world champions Germany continued their
fine start to World Cup qualifying with a 3-0 triumph over Czech
Republic in Hamburg. Germany took control of the game from the beginning and were rewarded on 13 minutes when Mesut Ozil swiped and
missed a low centre from Gotze, Muller was lurking on the far side of the box to
shoot into the corner via a deflection. Four minutes after the interval, Kimmich laid on a pass for Kroos after cutting inside who hit a low strike inside the near corner. And with 25 minute remaining on the clock, Hector crossed again
for Muller to finish across Vaclik into the net-his second of the match.
Scotland 1-1 Lithuania
The Scots failed to build on the 5-1 hammering of Malta on matchday one as a late James McArthur equaliser gave them a sense of dignity. The hosts were stunned when Captain Cernych capped off a well-worked Lithuania move in clinical fashion 59 minutes after spurning several opportunities with the likes of Chris Martin, Martin the guilty party. They went in search of an equaiser by throwing everythiong they had at the Lithuanians before finally getting a reprieve with one minute to go as Callum Paterson’s long throw was flicked on by Grant Hanley and
McArthur nodded in from close range, snatching a draw from the jaws of a home defeat to lowly rated Lithuanians.
