MACHEDA to Watford?

One time Manchester United wonderkid is hoping to secure a contract with Watford after being released by struggling Championship side Cardiff City last month.

Macheda made  36 appearances for United but failed to nail down a starting shirt at Old traford and saw his career fall downhill. He had loan spells with Sampdoria, Queens Park Rangers, Stuttgart, Doncaster Rovers and Birmingham City.

He played for Watford’s U23’s on Tuesday evening, scoring from the penalty spot in a 4-2 defeat to Hull City.
