ANCELOTTI rules out coaching Barcelona and Athletico

The Italian has insisted the he will never be seen in either of the team's dugout owing to his loyalty to their rivals. Ancelotti stated that he will never coach either of the Rojiblancos or Blaugraunas while also making it clear that in Italy, Lazio and Inter  are out of the question.

He was quoted saying to Marca: "No, I will never train Atleti or Barca. I respect the history of the rivalry and in the same way, I couldn't train either Lazio or Inter."

"It's my story and respect is very important. I have a lot of respect for Atletico and Barcelona, but I can't train them because I've coached Real Madrid for two years."

However, Bayern travel to Athletico Madrid on September 28 in a match that would see him return to Spain to face Diego Simeone and the fans once again. He said, "The reception will be normal for a rival team and a rival coach, I'll do my job, which is the challenge of winning at the Calderon.

Ancelotti managed Real Madrid for two years and won the La Decima in 2014 beating city rivals Athletico Madrid in the final. He was sacked the following year after a trophy-less season.
