£198m is a figure- Neymar and PSG a match made in heaven

At £198m, the jury will always be out on the Brazilian
jewel. That amount could be regarded as a bargain buy in under a season.  A 6-2 demolishing of Toulouse in Paris epitomizes how devastating Neymar could be on his day. Making his home debut, he was a joy to behold in the PSG jersey and helped his team make it three out of three at the same time toping the league table.

He provided three assists and scored a wonderful solo effort in the dying minutes of the game and a tap in off a rebound from a Rabiot shot. Home fans at Parc Des Princes were on a roll- the name Neymar was on their lips all night. He was on another level and this showing shows how indispensable he would be to the Parisan club. league when he single-handedly destroyed his now PSG teammates, he has grown up to be a man. He stepped up and directed play- it was all Neymar from then on.
Some may argue that Toulouse were always going to offer less in terms of resistance, but they scored first to put up the walls and this could just be a sign of things to come spearheaded by the 25year old. Gradel scored an unprecedented volley- Cavani could learn a thing or two from him. Ultimately, PSG defeated Toulouse with ten men despite a moment of madness from the ever talking Marco Veratti. The Italian threatened to spoil the fun when he received his marching orders, it only served as a wake-up call. As evident from last season’s Champions

He revelled in the moment, and he thrived under pressure. He even had time to disrespect Corentin Jean with a scintillating rainbow flick- the opponent didn’t let go, he was furious. His teammates were lifted to another level, he was complemented by Rabiot who is increasing his confidence level by the day. Kurzawa scored a scissors kick of a quickly taken Neymar corner and Pastore scored a stunner. Be sure that after a lapse in concentration last season and bettered by an efficiently well drilled Monaco machine broke the monopoly, PSG will do all it takes to wrestle back the championship this season. Neymar is already looking like the key to unlock that.

This could be the season PSG mount a serious challenge in Europe. Barnishing the ghost of Barcelona and blocking the threatening words of his critics, Neymar only have Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi to contend with, all others are behind him. He is surely not far from a Ballon d’Or. PSG fans are in for a treat. With Neymar at his best, Unai Emery could be free to hone his managerial skills to the fullest after the blemish of last season.
