After claiming three straight Bundesliga titles under Pep Guardiola, he believes he has been vindicated by the decision to leave the Catalans for first team football.
“I do not regret having gone from FC Barcelona. Football is global, it does not end at Barca,” Thiago told Mundo Deportivo, also claiming he made the right choice of playing for Spain over Italy and Brazil.
“I was right choosing to play with Spain. It is a pride, the decision was easy. I love Spain,” he continued. "One of my dreams is to lift a title with Spain. I lifted titles in the past that did not feel like mine.”
He also reiterated how tired of the Messi- Ronaldo debate feeling the footballing world doesn't need it.
“I’m tired of comparing Messi and Cristiano. It’s not healthy for football,” he said.
