SUPER EAGLES have training sessions


The Super Eagles of Nigeria held their first training session on Tuesday morning ahead of the forthcoming World Cup qualifier against Zambia in Ndola at the weekend.

20 players out of the 23 invitees took part in the workout held at the practice pitch of the National Stadium in Abuja.

Arsenal starlet Alex Iwobi and Manchester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho were amongst those that took part in the training session despite their arrival in camp in the early hours of Tuesday. The likes of FK Haugesund skipper William Troost-Ekong, Gent winger Moses Simon and Racing Genk midfielder Wilfred Ndidi were also seen.

The Super Eagles technical crew led by Franco-German Gernot Rohr were also involved in the exercises. The team trained twice on Tuesday.

Nigeria start their World Cup qualifying campaign away at Ndola, Zambia on the 9th of October. Algeria and Cameroon are the other teams present in the group.
