SERIE A wrap-up- Sunday

Chievo 1-1 AC Milan

Kucka scored a 25- yard golazo to give the San Siro outfit a 1-0 lead before the interval picking a loose ball from Cacciatore and smashed a cracker into the top corner past the hapless and angry Stefano Sorrentino. Niang extended Milan’s lead 44 seconds after the restart with another fine goal, latching onto a Giacomo Bonaventura interception from another loose piece of Chievo defensive play, before cutting onto his left foot and firing past Sorrentino just at the edge of the area. He then went on to dedicate his goal to the injured Montolivo by holding his jersey. Birsa curled home a free kick fifteen minutes from time for a consolation.

Bacca had the last say though, as he bent the ball with the outside of his right foot and saw his shot take a wicked deflection off Dainelli to wrong-foot Sorrentino to preserve the club's unbeaten record against Chievo.

Inter 1-2 Cagliari

Internationale lost at home to Cagliari as Icardi's penalty miss proved costly. A soft penalty was awarded after Alves fouled him in the box in the 25th minute. He then went on to shoot the spot kick well wide of the post. Joao Mario poked home a rebound from his initial shot after he was teed up by Perisic from a corner to shoot his team in front. Melchiorri finished off a Di Gennaro’s deflected pass for the equalizer of the game. Cagliari then seal the win five minutes from time to pile more misery on Inter. Melchiorri – having failed to hit the target with a close-range header moments earlier – drilling in a cross that Handanovic could only spill over his lineto make it three Serie A matches in a row for the away team.
