NIGERIA rises in latest ranking
World governing football body, FIFA released their latest national team rankings on Thursday morning and Nigeria has risen four places although they are still out of the top ten teams in Africa their 2-1 victory against Zambia in the 2018 Fifa World Cup qualifier played in Ndola.
The Super Eagles are now 60th in the World and eleventh in Africa for the month of October.
Top Ten African Teams
1) Ivory Coast
2) Senegal
3) Algeria
4) Tunisia
5) Ghana
6) Egypt
7) Congo DR
8) Congo
9) Mali
10) Cameroon
However, Argentina retains top spot in the World followed by Germany and Brazil in second and third place respectively. The biggest movers are Montenegro-56th following wins over Kazakhstan and Denmark.
