After a series of drawn games-four games in a row, Zidane is under fire at Madrid although he insisted he doesn't fear being axed. Toni Kroos has however leapt to the defense of the Frenchman. He believes he is still the right man for the job and that he shouldn't be criticised.
He said:
"I have to admit that I do not read the newspapers very often and I do not know how people have criticised Zidane."

"This isn't an excuse but we have had injuries to important players. We will need a win against Betis on Saturday."
Kroos committed his future to the Los Blancos after penning a new six year deal on Wednesday to put to bed speculations regarding his future.
