The host had several chances to win the game but failed ultimately as they were toothless in front of goal with Cavani the culprit as he wasted up to four clear-cut chances in what could have been a victorious evening for the French side. Ospina proved decisive making several saves in a man of the match display.

Both clubs had opportunities to score in the second half but Arsenal nabbed the much needed equalizer in the 77th minute. Alexis fired a rebound from the edge of the box that beat the PSG goalie in what was his club's second shot on target in the game.

The goal saw both teams share the spoils, Arsenal are now unbeaten in 13 away games against French oppositions. However, Veratti and Giroud saw late red cards after a tussle.
