Gael Clichy has stressed that the club were not up to their usual best in the midweek 2-1 EFL Cup victory against Swansea City. The win means City are still unbeaten in all nine games so far this season.
Clichy opened the scoring before Aleix Garcia doubled the lead, his first goal for the club. Gylfi Sigurdsson scored in injury time to make the scoreline 2-1.

He said Guardiola wasn't a happy man at half-time and expressed his dismay at how his team lost possession. e said "The boss wasn't really happy about this."
"It's one thing to play against a better side who create chances but it's not good enough when you give them [opportunities] through losing the ball in the middle of the park. We know what we did right and we know what we did wrong. The victory was the most important thing and of course we can improve."
He admitted that the team under-performed despite the win. He added, "We were a bit sloppy but I think overall we controlled the game, we didn't start well - the first half wasn't good enough and then we started to play a bit better in the second half."
"The victory is the most important thing. If you lose you are out of the competition. Now we can rest and look forward to Saturday."
City will again play Swansea at the weekend and are still in Wales.
