CASEMIRO fractures leg


The Brazilian midfiielder has been confirmed to have suffered a leg fracture on his left leg. He was absent from the club's 1-1 with Villareal on Wednesday but was passed fit following individual training.

The injury was confirmed after further scans were made.

“Following tests carried out today on Casemiro at the Sanitas La Moraleja University Hospital, he has been diagnosed with a fracture to the central third of his left fibula,” a statement released on Madrid’s official website read. “His recovery will continue to be assessed.”

He could be sidelined for up to three weeks and could miss important matches against Las Palmas, Borussia Dortmund and Eibar.

Meanwhile, Marcelo is also set for a two week spell on the sidelines after sustaining a calf injury against Villareal.
