This transfer window seems to be getting more and more interesting, after Manchester United confirmed Pogba's deal, City has made an announcement of their own. The 22-year old England Centre back has completed a move to the Citizens from Everton on a six-year deal for an undisclosed fee. Pep has courted the defenders for a while and both parties have settled for a deal. However, it is being rumoured that he has become the most expensive British defender in history for a fee believed to be in the region of £47.5m. Stones has become City's eighth signing of the summer following the earlier arrivals of Ilkay Gundogan, Nolito, Aleksandar Zinchenko, Aaron Mooy, Leroy Sane, Gabriel Jesus and Marlos Moreno.

And Director of Football, Txiki Begiristain said: “John is an excellent young English defender and we are all really pleased he is joining us. We have worked hard to bring him to City and we feel we are signing one of the best central defenders in Europe.”
Stones made his Everton debut against Stevenage in the League Cup on 28 August 2013. Last season was a good campaign for Stones as he made 41 appearances in all competitions for the Goodison Park outfit
