Sao Paulo has confirmed in a statement with Argentina Football
Association(AFA) that Bauza will be leaving his post at the end of the season to take up the role of the country's head coach. The former San Lonrenzo gaffer will succeed Gerardo Martino at the helms.
"Sao Paulo announce that Edgardo Bauza has revealed he received and
accepted on Monday evening an offer from the Argentine Football
Association (AFA) to take over the national team," a statement from the club read.
"As a result, he will leave the post of coach of the Tricolor. Hired at the start of the season, Paton leaves the club after eight months of important work rebuilding the team."
Edgardo Bauza has led Liga de Quito and San Lorenzo to Copa Libertadores trophies.
