SEALED: ALONSO switches to Chelsea

Italian club, Fiorentina have sold Marcos Alonso to Chelsea.

He completes a £23m move to the Stamford Bridge stressing his desire to win with the Premier league club.

He said, ‘I’m very happy. It’s a step up in my career and I think this is the perfect place for me to continue developing.My family and close friends know Chelsea is the club I have dreamed about playing for so I’m really excited about the challenge and I’m looking forward t working with my new team-mates.’

Alonso has played with Bolton in England before making 35 appearances for the club before being sold to Fiorentina in 2013 after starting his career at the Santiago Bernaneu.

He will cover for the loss of Baba Rahman and Kenedy to loans.
