Paul Pogba has thrown his weight behind Ronaldo on being the
next World Footballer of the year. Ronaldo won the Champions League, leading the scorers' chart and also the European Championship in France with three goals and assists. Lionel Messi won the award last year ending his two year run but Pogba believes he is in pole position to recapture the award. He said, "You have [Lionel] Messi, you have Ronaldo. Honestly, I like them both. [Antoine] Griezmann has had an amazing year,"
"For me, it's Cristiano Ronaldo [who should win], because he won the Champions League and Euro 2016." he said to ESPN
