EUROS UPDATES: GERMANY escapes

The Germans finally defeated Italy after eight attempts in a competitive
game. Oil gave the Germans a one nil lead, before Bonucci equalized at the death to deny the Germans. Both teams had to settle for penalties after 120 minutes of football. The German ream prevailed 6-5 in the shootout. Simone Zaza, Graziano Pelle, Leonardo Bonucci and Matteo Darmian missed for Italy while Thomas Muller, Mesut Ozil and captain Bastian Schweinsteiger all missed for the German team.
