OZIL praises 'greatest' Ronaldo

Mesut Ozil has sung the praise of former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo after the Portuguese put pen to paper on an improved deal which will see him stay at the Bernabeu up until the summer of 2021.

 The pair spent three years together at Real and Ronaldo scored off Ozil's numerous assists as they formed a lethal partnership. He hailed the Portuguese's commitment which translated in making him a better player.

I've never seen someone like him," he told Arsenal's YouTube channel. "He's the first in the dressing room and the last out. He's very professional and always wants to fight, even in the training sessions."

"I really enjoyed playing with him, he made me better on the pitch. He's a good guy and a good friend. Of course, I gave him a lot of assists! If I gave him two assists, he would score twice."

Cristiano followed Bale in signing a new deal with the Spanish giant hoping to stay there until 2021. Ronaldo is the club's all time leading goalscorer but has found goals hard to come by this season in his worst start since joining the Los Blancos.
