WENGER to name Mertesacker as new captain

The ex German international is set to be
coronated as Gunners' captain according to goal. He is the next in line after Arteta departed the club at the end of last season to serve as a reward for his loyalty to the club. Laurent Koscielny will be the vice-captaincy, while Petr Cech and Theo Walcott would be backups.
