Loris Karius has been ruled out for up to
ten weeks of playing action with a broken hand. The new signing from Mainz broke his hand during a challenge with defender Dejan Lovren in Liverpool's 1-0 loss to Chelsea in the ICC competition. He said,
“I would miss the first two league games of the season, and of course I want to play in them."
He joins defenders Mamadou Sakho and Joe Gomez on the sick bed.Alex Manninger, signed on a free from Augsburg will fill in for the goalie.
