The CSL top scorer has suffered a leg break in
the 2-1 win over rivals Shanghai R&F. Ba has been in sensational form this season having already scored 14 goals for Shanghai Shenhua this campaign. Xiang was trying to recover the ball and accidently caught the left leg of Ba, 31, who suffered the ugly injury while his foot was planted on the turf.
Shanghai coach Gregorio Manzano had this to say; "It could end Ba’s professional career. I would rather lose the game than lose Ba. "Ba is too good to have this happen to him." Shanghai are fifth on the log with 28 points. The Senegalese is set for a long spell on the sideline.
