Leicester city's star man, Vardy has extended his deal opting to stay
at the Kings Power Stadium for another four years despite Arsenal meeting the £20m release clause inserted in his contract. The 29-yr old England striker has scored a goal in the ongoing Euros and was Leicester's highest goal scorer last season with 24 goals and narrowly beaten by Kane to the Epl's top scorer chart. Official statement from the club read, "Leicester City have today agreed with the representatives of Jamie Vardy to extend the England international’s contract with the Premier League champions for a further four years," "Both parties hope that this announcement will end recent speculation regarding Jamie’s future and confirm his long term commitment to Leicester City Football Club."Jamie will continue to focus all of his efforts on trying to achieve success with the England team at the European Championships in France."
