The Gunners have been linked with serious approaches for three Leicester City players in recent weeks, obviously eager to replicate the Foxes’ successes
in the league this season. However, while Jamie Vardy and N’Golo Kante may be dubious choices, winger Riyad Mahrez could prove to be a better candidate after emerging as a possible transfer target.
One of Arsenal’s biggest flaws is their lack of creativity, with only Mesut Ozil providing any significant threat from midfield. Underperformers on the wing, such as Aaron Ramsey, Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, managed just 11 Premier League goals and 6 assists between them. Watching Ramsey play for the Welsh national team against Slovakia on Saturday, it was painfully obvious that the talent to finish chances is woefully absent, and that’s something Mahrez can provide.
